Tim Cooper is a New York City Hospitality & Spirits Industry Professional with over 20 years of experience working in bars, consulting on beverage programs and building startup spirit brands. He started his career in bartending, then branched into consulting in the beverage industry, aiding bars and restaurants such as: The Soho Grand Hotel, BED New York, Flatiron Lounge, Goldbar, Surf Lodge and Sweetwater Social. Tim has also worked as a consultant and cocktail event producer for Hennessy, Bulleit, William Grant & Sons, and Pernod Ricard, and has been
integral in the launching of several liquor brands, including the 86 Company, Spring 44 & Cabana Cachaca.
Currently, Cooper is the Head of Brand Advocacy for Ford’s Gin. Some of Cooper’s other roles were as event coordinator and partner of Contemporary Cocktails Inc., a NYC based global beverage consulting firm where he executed the beverage programs at numerous spirits & cocktail events, including; The New York City Food & Wine Festival, Tales of the Cocktail, The Manhattan Cocktail Classic & Hennessy Artistry to name a few. He then left to start his own company, In Good Spirits LLC., to continue his consulting services.
He has become a valuable resource in the industry having been featured on various television and radio programs while making and discussing cocktails including VH1’s “Morning Buzz,” Fox & Friends, PBS’s “Secrets of NY”, Martha Stewart Radio and the Tasted channel’s “Behind the Drink.” Print and online media outlets have tapped into his cocktail history knowledge and crafting skills for stories in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Beverage Media, and IMBIBE, among others.
