In 2003, Takuma started as Barista and became bartender at XEX Tokyo. He was one of the opening members of the renowed Bar Codename Mixology in Tokio. In 2012, Takuma made it to Top 10 in the World Class and Casa Noble cocktail competition. Then he decided to move to NY in 2013, inspired to work with Shingo Gokan, who was the manager at Angel’s Share at the time and who became his mentor. Now Takuma is the head bartender and manager at Angel’s Share, one of the oldest speak-easy cocktail bar in NYC. Takuma’s enthusiasm in creating cocktails was recognized and entitled by Time Out Bar Awards and he has been invited to guest bartend in many award-winning cocktail bars such as Lyaness NYC and Limantour in Mexico City to mention few.
