Slovakian born Marian Beke, moved to London at 16 years old like so many others who wanted to work on their English speaking skills. She was quickly inspired by the city’s cocktail culture and found herself working as a bar back in night clubs and working her way through various restaurants, hotels, and cocktail bars like Montgomery Place, Artesian Bar inside the Langham hotel, Purl Bar, and NightJar as its bar manager. In 2016 she opened her own bar called the Gibson. Gibson been rated in first year as the best European bar and was named #6 in World’s Best Bars. She also consults and does guest bartender shifts all over the world. Most recently she launched her own product lines called Electric Bitters, Electric Liqueur, Copperhead Gibson Edition Gin, and a few savory liqueurs such as a balsamic and smoky almond with Casoni Distillery.
